Ganga Enters Telangana near Basar in the Adilabad district and divides the district of Nizamabad and Karimnagar to the south and Adilabad to the north.

Kadem River ( Kadam Project ) is one of the largest tributary of godavari originates from the hills of dedra reserved forest and surpluses from bazarhatnoor tank in adilabad districts. Kadem river join godavari river at Dasturabad in Kadem mandal, Nirmal district. we can see Kuntala waterfall which are formed by Kadem river. The waterfall originates from confluence of several ponds. Kadem project also called Kaddam narayana reddy project. Peddavagu river and penganga river tributary river of pranahitha river. Manair river ( Manair dam ) traverses through the karimnagar district from the west to the lengthh of 170kms, Manair flow towards north and falls into godavari river in mantheni at 225 feet. Manair dam is one of the important water source of irrigation in karimnagar district. Peddavagu, chinna vagu is other minor rivers in the karimnagar.

Alair, Haldi, Koulasnala, Mohidemada, Lendi and Nallavagu is imporant rivers, tributaries of Godavari river. it passes through Maharashtra, karnataka and Telangana states. It originates in Balaghat range of hills. Nizam Sagar was constructed across the Manjira River between Achampeta and Banjapalle villages of the Nizamabad district in Telangana. The Singur Reservoir on Manjira River in Medak District is the main drinking water source for the Medak and Nizamabad districts as well as the adjoining twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
